Every child carries a light.
Lantern Hill Children’s Dance TheatreThe Wind
in the Willows
A riverbank. An unexpected friendship.
A world waiting to move.
This summer, Lantern Hill Children’s Dance Theatre will explore The Wind in the Willows through dance and storytelling. Kenneth Grahame’s world of Mole, Rat, Badger, and Toad offers a rich starting point for movement, character, friendship, and adventure.
Grades 3–8 · $300 tuition · Arkansas Arts Academy
Performance July 17 at 2:00 p.m.

A way to understand.
A way to belong.
We tell stories to remember, to imagine, and to share what being human feels like.
Stories carry the experiences of families and communities. They give us ways to explore fear, courage, friendship, loss, and joy—and to consider a life beyond our own.
For children, a story offers somewhere to begin. A character has a feeling, a wish, a problem, a choice. Exploring those possibilities through movement gives young dancers something to express, even before they have all the words.
Every role
has a purpose.
A character, a river, a change in the wind. Each can help tell the story.
Our aim is for each dancer to have work worth practicing and a contribution worth making. Technique, interpretation, and attention to others all belong in rehearsal.
